What fun activities for couples do you do on your vacations?
The Years 2020 and 2021 were scary at times, surrounded by so much uncertainty, but my girlfriend and I found some that we like while traveling.
These activities helped draw us closer.
What fun things do you like to do on vacation with your partner? (Please share in the comments field at the bottom).
You don’t even have to go to the hottest destinations to escape reality with your romantic partner and have a memorable time.
Nor do you have to travel far away.
We live in Florida so we have world-class beaches all around, but we’ve encountered “time-stands-still” moments in some not-as-known spots in 2020 and 2021…
…places like Omaha, Nebraska; Cleveland, Ohio, or St. Louis, Missouri.
Regardless of how popular the vacation spot is, big or small it was, we found the same fun activities for couples to enjoy.

You’ve seen them on TV. Now it’s time to experience them in person. One of my all-time favorite fun activities for couples I’ve done is visit and go to the top of the Gateway Arch in St Louis during a long layover.
Every city showcases a Top 10 list of sites to experience whether that’s iconic landmarks, recreational activities, restaurants, historical landmarks, etc.
Cities that have many landmark sites within walking distance offer short walking tours.
Many big cities offer tours through their artistic, trendy neighborhoods.

Another great escape from the noise. See where the locals go to get away from life’s hectic routines.

Let’s just say, I know a thing or two about WDW. I’ve worked there for decades. Check out some of the great events for adults that take place at EPCOT such as the International Food and Wine Festival in the fall. And right now the 50th anniversary for the entire resort just kicked off 10/01/21 and lasts until April 2023.
Some absolutely fabulous attractions have popped up in both theme parks. Universal Orlando makes for a great weekend trip for couples.
Growing up in Ohio I got to experience the best roller coaster park in the world every summer. If you two are roller coaster enthusiasts then Cedar Point is a must-see.
Six Flags produces some of the best amusement parks in the country. Find the closest Six Flags Park to you for a weekend getaway.

I have this marked on my wishlist, and the US offers some great mountain weekend getaway trips for couples.

If you want time to stand still then go to wine country. Taste local wines, snack on a cheese board, and observe the rolling vine-laden hills for as far as the eyes can see.
If you want something closer, then check out the list of popular vineyards and wineries throughout the US.
Of course, you’d both have to know how to play, but it’s easy to find beautiful courses that suit your level of play around the country

Golf is not your game, how about tennis? Why not go on a quick getaway trip for couples to a resort just to relax some and play tennis.
Or maybe you can find a resort that has golf, tennis, and a spa. If you have not done a couples massage before I highly recommend it.
