5 Step Content Creation [Formula] … Fast, Simple, Endless Ideas

5 Step Content Creation [Formula] … Fast, Simple, Endless Ideas

Too much to do, so little time. A bunch of content creation and a zillion other tasks. And you work alone. Ugh!

(Not to mention- try to convert affiliate sales.)

But in this post, I will show you a few simple tricks that I use to create content fast.

And that allows me to literally create content infinitely.

Endless content.

And soon you will too.

It doesn’t matter what kind of content you want to make.

You’ll write endless posts, create endless eBooks, lead magnets, emails to subscribers and…

…you can apply the concept to video creation, slide shows…

…any kind of content!

Who’s This Post Designed For?

New bloggers (30 blog posts or less) looking for ideas to establish habits to create high-quality content efficiently while avoiding writer’s block and to pinpoint their target audience’s needs for each piece of content. | Established bloggers (30+ blog posts/1 year+ blogging) looking for ideas on how to create content that digs deeper and satisfies more unique specific needs of their segmented targeted audiences

5 Steps to Fast Content Creation … an ENDLESS Stream of Ideas

…Posts, Emails, Lead Magnets, eBooks, Online Courses, Video

Endless content creation ideas … forever … endless ideas? | Photo by Juan from Pexels

[Step One] of 5-Step Content Creation

Create High-Level Content Topics within Your Niche

Your content creation strategy will come easy if you start with higher-level terms and then expand into sub-topics.

Build smaller websites within your site.

This step alone will pave the way to create endless interlinking blog posts.

How does this work?

Visual a pyramid.

Place a high-level content topic within your niche at the apex.

Here’s an example from the dating and relationship niche: Text Messages

“Text messages” will make up our main post topic.

In Step Two we will expand to the different kinds of text messages and at more targeted audience.

Always keep SEO in mind, for Step One choose two-word keyword phrases (less competition, more relevant to your niche and topic). Plus, they eliminate filler words called stop words which can lead to extra unrelated search engine results.

(Note: single keywords typically receive too much competition or have multiple meanings nothing related to your niche. ALTHOUGH, single keywords relevant to your niche and with low competition and high-demand are IDEAL- “diamonds in the rough”)

And check out more examples from the dating and relationship niche here:

Two-word Keywords in Dating and Relationship Niche

  • Sex Life
  • Sex Toys
  • Mr. Right
  • Date Night
  • Date Ideas
  • Single Life
  • Married Life

[Step Two] of 5-Step Content Creation

Sub-Niche Content Ideas: Dig Deeper

5 Step Content Creation Formula for relationship bloggers

Next, we will expand on Step One and link to sub-topic blog posts that link back to and support the high-level content.

Plus, we will target a more specific audience with the headline.

That way we attract ONLY the people who we want to read the post.

(Why would you want men to visit a post when you promote affiliate products designed for women?)

In the example from Step One we took “text messages” (or just texts).

Now let’s dig deeper.

What kind of text messages?

Simply add a category of text message at the beginning.

Choose adjectives or occasions.

Run the keyword research on it first, to make sure it makes sense to write an entire post on them.

Check out this list of examples below.

Three-word Keywords in Dating and Relationship Niche

  • Romantic Text Messages
  • Erotic Text Messages
  • Cute Text Messages
  • Emotional Text Messages
  • Funny Text Messages
  • Good Morning Text Messages
  • Good Night Text Messages
  • Flirty Text Messages
  • Sexy Text Messages

What about other content ideas from the dating and relationship niche?

Remember, look for three-word keyword phrases:

Not only does this list of content ideas focus on deeper targeted topics, but I optimized them to help promote affiliate products.

Let’s take it one step deeper by choosing a more specific target audience.

We will do this by adding a sub-heading and combining it to the main heading.

The Co-schedule Headline Analyzer suggests that 9 words makes the perfect length.

Why?

They won’t fit within search engine results.

How Effective is Your Headline? (Test it with Co-Schedule=>)

Insert your headline. Get a score.https://coschedule.com/headline-analyzer

(Run your headlines in the Co-schedule Headline Analyzer to check out if they pass the test).

Who do you want to target?

What emotional benefit do they want to experience?

Consider adding a time frame to create a sense of urgency and excitement.

Check out these possibilities with “text messages”:

Target Audience Sub-Heading Examples

  • Romantic Text Messages to Melt His Heart
  • Sweet Love Text Messages to Make His Heart Pound
  • Erotic Texts to Turn Him on at the Office
  • Good Night Texts to Make Him Dream about You
  • Good Morning Texts to Make Him Miss You All Day
  • Flirty Texts to Make Him Want to See You TODAY

Who’s the target audience?

Women dating or meeting men who they want to get the upper-hand with and win his heart.

Or women in relationships who want their men to show them more appreciation.

Target audience is more than just age, sex, income, location.

A major factor are their WANTS, NEEDS and FEARS.

Let’s compress that and summarize that down to one word: MOTIVATION.

Running a newsletter, asking your subscribers questions, inserting polls into your blog posts, sending out surveys, replying to your emails to help and ask your subscribers questions allows you to better understand their WANTS, NEEDS and FEARS.

The sub-headings provide a more compelling and enticing reason to click-through to read the blog posts, don’t you agree?

Now let’s check out some other sub-heading ideas that include “MOTIVATION”.

[Step Three] of 5-Step Content Creation

Re-purpose Content: How to Turn One Piece of Content into 10+

5 Step Content Creation Formula for Relationship Bloggers

Tired of writing and writing and starting over?

This section is for you.

You probably have heard the term repurpose content.

If not, if refers to taking one piece of content, for example, a blog post, and turning it into another piece of content, for example, an eBook lead magnet.

You can do this on an “as-is” basis, or make some adjustments.

I’ve done both.

And if you’re looking for one of the easiest ways to turn a blog post into an eBook then check out Designrr.com.

I created an eBook (including cover) within minutes from one of my epic long blog posts on how to create text messages that get men to chase.

Click here for more information on Designerr.

Repurposing gives you a fast and efficient way to repackage ANY piece of your content.

No single subscriber or visitor will ever read ALL of your content.

And new content becomes old anyway.

So, why not turn your list posts into email series, your emails series to eBooks or video slide shows, email series into mini-online courses or even assemble packages of digital products bonus products then offer them in exchange for the purchase of affiliate products through your affiliate links.

Check out my instructional post how to create and assemble packages of products to promote the purchase of affiliate products through your links.

Start a podcast.

And if you do not wish to write all your own content.

Then consider hiring someone from the popular blogger and internet marketer site Fiverr.com to write one post for you (as in starting at $5 per project).

Check out Fiverr.com here

[Step Four] of 5-Step Content Creation

How ONE Blog Post Turns into 11

5 Step Content Creation Formula for Relationship Bloggers

Just like the rest of the ideas on the rest of this blog post, these content creation ideas are super simple.

Nothing complicated.

Combine Steps One and Two.

Create a list of at least 10 brainstormed headlines for Step One.

(Remember to conduct keyword research on them first).

Choose the best one.

Then brainstorm a list of around 20 sub-topics.

Choose the top ten.

Then create an outline of them all.

Now follow these steps:

5 Steps to Turn One Blog Post into Eleven

1) Make each sub-topic post into a numbered point on the main list post (I’ll show you an example in a moment).

2) Fill in each section with a brief description with no more than 3-5 sample texts

3) Write a captivating and compelling introduction.

4) Then a summary with CTA (sign up for your newsletter or purchase an affiliate product)

5) Finally, turn each sub-topic into its own blog post. Use the same examples that you used on the main post and then add more (at least 10 total).

Now you have your mini-website that I describe in the first two steps above.

Check out how the outline would look with my text message post examples from Steps One and Two.

10 Text Messages to Turn Men On and Make Them Chase (Main Post)

  1. Romantic Text Messages to Melt His Heart
  2. Sweet Love Text Messages to Make His Heart Pound
  3. Erotic Texts to Turn Him on at the Office
  4. Good Night Texts to Make Him Dream about You
  5. Good Morning Texts to Make Him Miss You All Day
  6. Flirty Texts to Make Him Want to See You TODAY
  7. First Text Message to Send Guy You Just Met
  8. Cute Text Messages to Make Him Blush
  9. Emotional Text Messages to Connect with Him
  10. Funny Text Messages to Break Up the Boring Routine

Then each of the numbered posts here become their own post.

A pretty simple content creation idea, right?

And now onto the most efficient and easiest one.

[Step Five] of 5-Step Content Creation

Fast Content Creation with Guest Posting (and make money doing it)

5 Step Content Creation Formula for Relationship Bloggers

Get other bloggers to write them for you on your own blog.

This creates a win-win for both of you.

It gives them backlinks to their site.

A chance to grow their email subscriber list.

And you could even offer to split affiliate sale commissions.

Just track the sales on a spreadsheet using trackable links and then pay them via Paypal or Payoneer.

How do you find others to guest blog for you?

How do you contact them?

Who makes an ideal guest blogger?

And how do you convince them?

Here are the two ways I have found and contacted others to guest blog for me.

1) Tapped into a social media community. For me, that’s currently Pinterest.

2) Emailed them from their contact page.

It’s quite simple, but I will share with you the details in a moment how to do this in a moment.

Who Makes the IDEAL Guest Blogger?

I don’t always follow these rules because sometimes I just want to help new bloggers get ahead.

Follow this checklist of items:

They have a following to which they could promote the blog post. This will bring extra traffic to the post.

Ideally look for someone who has a substantial amount of social media followers, traffic and/or email subscribers or subscribers to their blog.

In my case, I’d search for someone who has:

  • 1K+ Pinterest followers
  • 150K+ monthly Pinterest viewers
  • 1K+ email subscribers
  • 10K+ blog pageviews
  • 5K+ unique monthly visitors
  • They’ve written similar content to what I want for my guest blog posts

You can find the Pinterest stats on their profile, the rest you’d have to ask them for.

Don’t over think these numbers.

Remember, some new bloggers will grow them to much bigger numbers later.

And since you helped them early on, they’re likely to return the favor later or collaborate on future projects

How to Reach Out and Convince Them

Reaching out won’t suffice.

Any idea how many times other bloggers have reached out to me for guest posts?

A bunch.

But did I agree to do them?

No.

In fact, I didn’t even respond to most of them.

Why?

Because they sounded like sales pitches.

They wanted to put their affiliate links and then send me garbage posts.

You could tell that they just copy-and-pasted the same message to me and everyone else.

Don’t do what these spammy bloggers do.

Of course, in your case you will reach out to others to post on your blog but the concept remains the same.

Show value to the blog owner, show that you wish to create a mutually beneficial collaboration.

Follow these steps I’ve personally done:

1) Research their Content

Only reach out to bloggers who have written content that aligns with the topics for upcoming blog posts.

To simplify this and do it fast just sift through Pinterest Boards and Pins. Check your fellow contributors on Group Board, people you follow or conduct searches with the keywords you plan to use.

2) Compliment them

Leave a compliment on their Pin with their name and on something specific you read on their post. And comment on your interest to invite them to do a guest post with you.

Find their name either in their Pinterest profile or on their About Me page on their blog.

Here is an example of a personalized compliment to leave on their Pin.

(Example: Sue great post and Pin. Thank you for writing this! I totally agree with #3 (the name of the sub-heading from the post) of your post. (Insert brief recap of what she wrote and why you agree). I have an idea for a guest post to do on my blog. I sent you the details via email. Thank you again!

3) Message them through Multiple Contact Points

Message them through Pinterest of your interest to do a guest post and then email them via their blog contact page.

Why message them in so many places?

Because every one has their preferred method of contact.

They may not see just the message from Pinterest or their email.

4) Email them

Preferably send the email before you message them in case they check for it before you actually send it.

Keep it brief.

Then offer a few topic ideas and then ask them to reply for more details if they’re interested.

No point of saying anything more yet until they show interest.

Then if they respond and ask for more details send the post guidelines.

The Second Email: Guest Post Guidelines

Now that they’ve show interest and want the details you must not just settle for whatever they send you.

And you certainly do not want them to send copied posts from someone else.

Check out the guidelines list I’ve sent.

Guest Post Guideline (Example)

Title

(Include focus keyword phrase in title)

Focus Keyword Phrase

(two-word or three-word keyword phrase) like mentioned in Step Two

Other Keywords to Include

(add 3-5 other keyword phrases for SEO purposes; two-word phrases, three-word phrases and long-tail phrases)

Length

(total word count)

Keyword Density

1/2 percent of all words in post

Target Audience

(Get specific, but include more than sex and age range, most importantly include DESIRES, FEARS, WANTS, CHALLENGES that the typical reader of this planned guest post goes through)

# of Subheadings

3-5 H2 subheadings plus you can include 3-5 H3 if it helps break up your body sections

Style

(Conversational, speak directly to the viewer as if you were sitting across the table from ONE person, speak in second person (you), not third person (he, she, they))

Format:

(No bulky paragraphs, just like how I write my emails to you, with white space, preferably one line then space but no more than 2 lines together, shorter sentences, preferably no longer than 25 words, but some should be as short as 3-5 words- it’s more conversational that way, blog formatting is not the same as a print formatting, people’s attention spans are MUCH shorter and the always have the temptation to click away and look elsewhere for answers)

Value Proposition

(Identify the challenge/problem (internal emotions and feelings), provide a solution (the emotions and feelings they want to experience), you can provide the solution immediately after stating the challenge, or at the end of the post)

Other Suggestions

(Focus on the target audience of this particular piece of content first, the topic second because the topic is interpreted differently depending on the specific audience)

Original Content

(Write the content yourself and do not use something that has already been published online ANYWHERE)

To make this easy also consider this next suggestion.

“Write for Me”: Guest Post Guidelines

Create a “Write for Me” page and include your guest post guidelines there.

In fact, once you get enough traffic and/or followers, again:

  • 1K+ Pinterest followers
  • 150K+ monthly Pinterest viewers
  • 1K+ email subscribers
  • 10K+ blog pageviews
  • 5K+ unique monthly visitors
  • They’ve written similar content to what I want for my guest blog posts

Then you could charge for guest posts.

To choose a price research what fellow bloggers within your social media circle to see what other bloggers with similar stats ask for.

5 Fast Ways to Affiliate Sales for Relationship Blogs

5 Fast Ways to Affiliate Sales for Relationship Blogs

1. Affiliate Product Review Page

The affiliate product review page is a must on your blog if you want to make affiliate sales.

It is the most important money-making page on auto pilot of your entire blog.

Why?

It targets people already looking to buy a specific product.

Check out the screen shot of one of my review posts below.

I once made an affiliate sale in 9 days after publishing an affiliate product review page on a blog that received less than 10 daily views (the entire blog).

You’ve seen product reviews, perhaps you’ve even purchased products from them.

Your affiliate product review breaks down the components of the products you promote such as:

  • eBooks
  • Video course
  • 1-on-1 coaching course
  • Amazon products (Valentine’s gifts, for example)

The choice of which components varies (features, benefits, target audience) and so do your opinion sections (PROs, CONs, your likes, dislikes, areas of improvement).

Why Affiliate Product Review Pages Make Affiliate Sales

Your visitors want an inside peek before buying. Think of this like a taste-test at the grocery store or picking up the puppy at the animal shelter or pet shop.

Earn their trust with your opinions, especially what you do not like about the product (what it lacks, which alternate products you like, how to improve it). It makes you look honest and authentic. You earn your visitor’s trust this way by looking like a consultant, not a salesperson.

Advanced Reason It Converts

Most of your visitors who land on an affiliate product review page are in a buying frame of mind. They’ve gone through the majority of the buying cycle.

Your posts educate them (identify problem, provide a solution) but your affiliate product review page recommends the tool that solves the problem.

It’s your call-to-action (CTA).

You visitors will arrive to this page in different ways:

  • Link from your newsletter emails
  • Links from your educative posts
  • Directly from Pinterest
  • Related posts widgets in other posts
  • Paid ads (Google AdWords, Bing Ads, Pinterest Ads, solo ads- paid ads on other bloggers blogs or newsletters, etc.)
  • SEO (searches from Google, Bing and other search engines)

Not all the traffic converts at the same rate.

Why not?

Because each targets a different consumer mindset.

A person who chooses to click on an ad or a search result most likely was looking for a review of that particular product.

In other words, they were considering purchasing before landing on your page.

The other paths mentioned above that lead to your affiliate products review pages work too, but require being led by the hand through the buying cycle.

You want to become their entrusted source of helpful recommendations. Therefore, your newsletter emails must display your unique brandable style of advice and way of packaging useful information that they want in order for them to trust paying for an affiliate recommendation (or your own products).

Q & A Affiliate Product Review Pages

“Do you I need to personally use the product to promote it?”

No, but you should at least inspect it and “package” your observations in way that illustrates how it can solve your visitor’s problems.

“Can I make affiliate sales with low levels of traffic?”

Yes, I have made affiliate sales with less than daily 10 views (not even visitors) on one of my blogs (the entire blog).

I started to make regular monthly affiliate sales after I passed 100 unique visitors a month. Which with the help of Pinterest and Tailwind can happen quickly (most likely within 1 – 3 months).

“Can I get affiliate products for free to review?”

Yes, contact the affiliate manager. Find their contact information within the affiliate dashboard or affiliate sign up page.

I’ve had to purchase a few because the affiliate manager did not respond to my request.

“What if I don’t find an affiliate product that I like?”

I highly suggest creating your own products to solve your visitors’ problems that affiliate products do not. This helps you brand your unique style of providing advice.

2. Affiliate Recommendation on Thank You Page

You can convert a few extra sales a month just by adding an affiliate offer on your newsletter Thank You pages.

Another ideal place to promote your affiliate product is on the thank you confirmation page after a subscriber opts-in to your newsletter.

Right underneath the message that thanks them and explains how they can access their free gift (your lead magnet).

Here’s a pic of one of mine from my blog InfidelityFirstAidKit.com

Options

Try different methods to see which one converts the best or whichever you prefer that involves the least amount of time investment (preferably something you can reuse or repurpose).

The one above happens to be the fastest to implement. You could complete everything in minutes.

It’s the first method I recommend on this list below.

Headline-Image-CTA Link to Affiliate Sales Page

The image above shows you that I simply added a banner image of the product and linked straight to the affiliate’s sales page. (I got the image from the product’s affiliate dashboard).

I make a few affiliate sales a month for each product I represent. It’s quick and simple to add to your “Thank You” pages.

And you can make sales very soon, possibly even today.

Short, Simple Review

Adding a review of an affiliate product on your Thank You pages could convert sales if the visitor is unfamiliar with the product.

Here you could add a short review in text form right on the Thank You page below a call-to action headline.

Still add a product image and a CTA button that links to your affiliate product sales page.

Video Review

Create a video review of your affiliate product. This creates a connection between you and your audience because they see you talking.

Instead of a text formatted review you could do a short video instead (7-10 minutes maximum).

A simple way to do this is to create slides with PowerPoint or Canva.com.

Each slide could display a section from your text formatted review.

I prefer to use a presentation mode on Canva.com because it’s simpler.

Then you could use a screen recorder for the video. I have used both PowerPoint and Screen-O-Matic. I prefer Screen-O-Matic because it’s simple to use, inexpensive and you can record up to 30 minutes on its most basic subscription plan.

I’ve also used Jing’s free version to do screen recordings but it only allows you to record 5 minutes. (This is changing sometime soon to a new tool in early 2020).

Or instead of creating a short review directly on the Thank You Page link to your more in-depth affiliate product review page.

Why Thank You Pages Convert Affiliate Sales

Visitors who subscribe to your newsletter are telling you that they like your style of advice.

They have taken action and voluntarily given you their contact information.

And the fact that they’ve taken action to seek information to solve a specific problem they are likely to take more action right now in the moment while they are in the mood.

Now, more than ever, is the perfect time to align them with a more advanced tool (your affiliate product recommendation).

They want to solve their problem sooner than later.

Q & A Affiliate Recommendations on Thank You Pages

I don’t have a newsletter yet. Can I still do this method?

Yes, you can still offer a free gift, called a lead magnet. Make a simple PDF (eBook, checklist, list post saved as a PDF) or video (embedded on a designated page).

Place your affiliate links within the PDF or page where you embed a video.

After someone opts-in to your newsletter redirect to the Thank You Page.

Technically you do not need a newsletter to offer a free gift that in turn goes to a Thank You Page…

HOWEVER, you should.

And with that you will need an email service provider to collect the email addresses.

Later you can send emails to invite your subscribers to visit your blog posts or promote other affiliate offers.

You will make more sales with a newsletter because you have more opportunities to earn their trust to recommend products.

I use the paid-for version Mailchimp for my email service provider which allows me to send automated emails.

But you can use the free version to use for your first 2,000 subscribers.

It will take you a while to get to 2,000, so this is a good option.

What’s the best email service provider?

I use the paid-for version Mailchimp for my email service provider which allows me to send automated emails.

But you can use the free version to use for your first 2,000 subscribers.

It will take you a while to get to 2,000, so this is a good option.

How do you make a Thank You Page?

I use one of the most known landing page creators Leadpages.net

You can use Mailchimp to create Newsletter Opt-In Pages and Thank You Pages too.

However, Leadpages is easier to use and creates more attractive pages that will convert better.

3. Problem-Solution Posts

Essentially, everyone who comes to your blog looks a solution to problem, not for entertain purposes.

The earlier in the buying cycle a visitor finds themselves the more likely they still need to identify the exact problem they face before looking the solution.

They might know something is not working, but don’t know exactly what is wrong.

Therefore, you can create blog posts that help someone pinpoint what the problem is that ails them and prevents them getting what they want.

The more specific the better because it shows that you understand their pain on a deeper level and they will more likely trust your advice.

Check out these examples from the relationship niche.

Identify the Problem (in question form)

This is the pain that your visitor or subscriber feels.

Here are some of the questions your target audience may ask themselves in the relationship niche.

  • “Why does he or she not text me first?”
  • “What kinds of texts can I send to get him to flirt with me?”
  • “How do I know that the guy I am dating wants to an exclusive relationship with me or just wants companionship?”
  • “What is a flirty way to respond to a guy who messages me from a dating app that will show him that I’m interested without looking desperate?”
  • “How can I flirt with a guy a work while keeping remaining professional?”
  • “How can I get the guy at work to ask me out?”
  • “How can I figure out if the guy I am dating is cheating?”
  • “How can I get my man to open up, express his feelings and thus feel emotionally closer to him?”
  • “What is some flirty body language to show I am interested, get his attention and the courage to talk to me?”

This list could go on for an eternity and the better you get at identifying specific fears without generalizing the more trust you earn.

Trust allows you to ask your visitors and subscribers to take action (subscribe to other newsletters, purchase).

And from these questions that your target audience asks themselves you could create blog posts that explain why these problems happen.

Here are some sample ideas for problem-identifying blog posts:

  • 10 Reasons He Doesn’t Text First
  • 10 Reasons He Sends Serious Texts and NOT Flirty Ones
  • 10 Text Message Signs I’m Stuck in His Friend Zone
  • 10 Desperate Dating App Messages that Turn Him Off
  • 10 Unprofessional Ways to Flirt with Him at Work
  • 10 Reasons He Thinks You Do NOT Like Him
  • 10 Commitment Fears that Prevent Him from Moving Forward
  • 10 Cold Body Language Signs that Scare Him Away

You see how specific they get?

Dig deep into the problem.

Provide the Solution

Check out the examples below that solve the above problems.

You can put these solutions into your blog posts.

Either in the same problem-identifying posts at the bottom after you examine the details of the problem.

Such as in these examples:

  • 10 Reasons He Doesn’t Text First … (and change that to get him to fear losing you)
  • 10 Reasons He Sends Serious Texts and NOT Flirty Ones … (and how to turn the tables and get him to chase
  • 10 Text Message Signs I’m Stuck in His Friend Zone … (and how to escape, turn him on and chase)
  • 10 Desperate Dating App Messages that Turn Him Off … (and 10 strategic flirty ones that make him think about you all day)
  • 10 Unprofessional Ways to Flirt with Him at Work … (and 10 irresistibly flirt, yet professional ways that get you a date this week)
  • 10 Reasons He Thinks You Do NOT Like Him … (and 10 ways to show him you do without looking desperate and to make him chase)
  • 10 Commitment Fears that Prevent Him from Moving Forward … (and how ease those fears for him and get him to need you)
  • 10 Cold Body Language Signs that Scare Him Away … (and how to get him to approach and even ask you out)

Note: Do not place the specific extension headings that I put in parentheses in your blog post titles because they will make the title too long.

Thus, no one will see them in search engine results or even in Pinterest Pins.

Instead place them in the blog post or Pin descriptions.

Separate Solution Posts

Or instead of putting the solutions and problems in the same blog posts you could create separate posts in which to place the solutions.

The visitors who have identified the problem already would prefer to go straight to the solution. They may not click-through to a post that discusses the problem, but would instead choose to read a post that promises a solution.

Recommend the Tool

After you share the strategies that work to get your visitors what they want, then you can recommend affiliate products that will show them step-by-step how to do it.

The model for this follows a simple path.

Your blog post identifies “The What’s Wrong” è then shows them “The What They Need to Fix It” è then finally the “How to Fix It Step-by-Step” (this is your affiliate product recommendation).

Why Problem-Solution Posts Make Affiliate Sales

Simply, you’re ending the visitor’s pain.

You’re giving them what they want.

You lead them straight down the path to what they set out to find when they hopped on the internet to begin with.

The visitor cannot resist the value proposition that your headline promises.

From one step to the next you take them by the hand down the path to the final step: the affiliate recommendation.

And there’s really no commitment to scare anyone off- they only have to read.

Hopefully you’ve created many of these posts already and either just need to add the affiliate recommendations or just the solutions.

You might have to create brand new posts, though.

Which means this will take more work then just adjusting your Thank You Pages but still less work than creating an entire sales funnels with numerous emails.

Q & A Problem-Solution Posts

“Should all my non-review posts be problem-solution posts?”

It depends.

How much times and energy do you have to create content?

If you have gone a long time working on your blog creating content and not converting affiliate sales then you should focus just on money-making posts.

Review posts and problem solution posts are two of a few of those money-making posts.

“Is there a formula to make my posts more specific?”

Yes.

Think of these key specificity factors:

  • Who is the post for, who would benefit most from reading it?
  • Single women?
  • Married?
  • In there 20s, 30s, 40s, etc.?
  • Divorced?
  • Busy and independent?
  • Getting over a break up?
  • Been single a few months, a few years, many years?
  • Never been in a relationship?
  • Shy?
  • Only meets people online?
  • Overconfident?
  • Does it define the problem?
  • (optional) Does it promise a solution and define it?
  • How soon does your value proposition solve their problem?
  • Is there an affiliate program that aligns with your solution?

Just keep asking questions until you answer all of them or at least all except the time frame.

“What do I do if I don’t see an affiliate program that I like?”

For the sake of making affiliate sales with your blog, you should first look for the affiliate program that you believe in before creating any content.

If you’ve already created a bunch of posts and lead magnets then cross sell any affiliate program that is good enough.

Example

Let’s say you feel competent teaching mid-life women in their 30s-50s, divorced or who’ve spent a long time single how to create the ideal dating profile to meet relationship-minded men in similar circumstances.

You could still cross sell eBooks and dating coaching services that help them understand men’s relationship fears and needs.

Plus, you could promote text men products, since virtually texting men you just met through a dating app is about the same as someone you met in person.

Also remember you could evaluate your favorite dating apps or website and break down their PROs and CONs.

Then again you could create your own eBook for sale.

4. Problem Post => Lead Magnet Solution

(preferably use an existing LM or repurpose a blog post)

Again, hopefully you’ve already created this content.

Then you can implement this money-making method today.

This method is very similar to the previous one except that you propose the solution in a lead magnet.

Honestly, this is better because you will make more money with an email subscriber list since you can warm them up and earn their trust.

Plus, you can go more in-depth with your lead magnet and thus earn the new subscriber’s trust more easily.

Place your affiliate links inside the lead magnet or on the lead magnet access page.

Place the newsletter opt-in link or box at least twice on the blog post.

Once high up in the top third and the other at the bottom.

Here’s how it will all look.

Blog Post ->the “What” Identifies the Problem

Lead Magnet-> Promises to Deliver the “What You Need to Fix It”

Affiliate Recommendation in Lead Magnet-> Promises the “How to Fix It Step-by-Step”

Why the Problem Post => Lead Magnet Solution Method Makes Affiliate Sales

This gives the visitors who are most serious about solving their problem and relieving themselves of the pain the opportunity to stand out from the rest.

Offering a lead magnet gives them an action to take and visitors who take action are valuable in identifying better candidates to sell to. Not as valuable as paying visitors, of course, but more on that later.

Plus, offering a free gift creates goodwill.

And the more specific a lead magnet solves your visitor’s problem the more likely they will trust taking your advice.

It also creates mystery and increases desire and the value of the lead magnet since it requires action to receive it.

Q & A Problem Post => Lead Magnet Solution

“Is it a good idea to convert a solution post I already have on my blog into a lead magnet?

Yes.

In fact, it is a phenomenal idea because it is super simple to copy and paste it and then save it as a PDF.

The more efficient the better.

Do not assume that all your visitors will visit all of your blog posts, even your subscribers who read more than the average visitor.

I have repurposed many of my blog posts into lead magnets and gotten many visitors to opt into them.

However, keep in mind that you do want to reserve some of your content exclusively just for your subscribers (and make sure they know that it’s exclusive).

The best method comes next and you can combine it with all the other methods.

5. Offer Bonuses (Highest-Converting Method)

Rarely can you get the best results with a relatively low amount of work in the usually time-consuming world of blogging.

But I present to you the best one.

Offer bonuses to tip the scales and incentivize your subscribers and visitors to purchase an affiliate product through you.

What Can You Offer as Bonuses?

While you could offer digital Amazon gift cards, other gift cards, discount coupon codes (if the affiliate program offers them) or even cash back rebates (if the affiliate program allows it).

However, you could create extra lead magnets instead.

But instead of using them to obtain newsletter subscribers set them aside exclusively as bonuses for the purpose of affiliate products (through your links of course).

Here are some ideas:

  • Repurpose existing posts
  • Videos of existing posts or lead magnets
  • Q and A Sessions
  • Interviews of other dating or relationship bloggers or coaches who specialize in an area that you don’t
  • Package lead magnets (a combination of videos, PDFs, survey results, interactive quizzes, MP3s, slide shows, etc.)

The more that you stick around in the blogging world and take courses to advance your experience level you naturally find more ideas and get more creative.

Watch this video of a sample affiliate bonus package page I have.

Simplest Ways to Offer Bonuses in Exchange for Affiliate Product Purchases

You need proof that your visitor (or subscriber) actually made the purchase.

Here are a couple ways to do it:

  • Ask them to forward you the purchase confirmation email that includes their name and purchase ID number.
  • Ask them to send you an email with their name and the purchase ID number.

With their name and the product purchase number, you could check your affiliate dashboard if it matches up with the information, they sent you.

Why Offering Bonuses Helps You Make Affiliate Sales

Visitors and subscribers can purchase the affiliate products you recommend from anyone and at any time.

You will make many affiliate sales from the above-mentioned methods because some people want to end their pain now.

They’re impatient.

However, you could combine the above methods and convert more by giving them a reason to purchase with you by offering them bonuses.

Make sure that your bonuses add value to the affiliate product or fills in a gap that the affiliate product does not solve.

Affiliate Product Review Pages Q & A

“Where can you offer bonuses for an affiliate product purchase?”

  • On TY page or link to bonus page from review page
  • On a separate landing page

“What if I don’t have many lead magnets to set aside for bonuses?”

You can easily convert solution blog posts into PDFs or create slide shows that you then screen record into videos.

“What other ideas for bonuses convert well?”

Bonus packages that teach your lessons through a variety of formats (videos, PDFs, survey results, interactive quizzes, MP3s, slide shows, etc.)

“Can you show me how to do it?”

Yes.

How to Find the Best Affiliate Programs [in the Relationship Niche]

How to Find the Best Affiliate Programs [in the Relationship Niche]

Looking for the best affiliate programs to promote your dating and relationship blog?

To do that you must look for the features that all the best affiliate programs share in common.

It will make life easier for you by saving you time and frustration.

And above all convert a higher number of affiliate sales…

…provided you set up the right strategies and apply the right techniques outlined in this blog.

However, realize that even after applying these tips, you will not know how an affiliate program will perform FOR YOU until you promote its products.

Also, I urge you to come to grips (actually I beg you) that affiliate products do not just sell themselves.

You MUST guide your visitors down the path from identifying what prevents them from gaining success.

From the PROBLEM (lack of habits, knowledge, strategies or skills) ==> to the SOLUTION (identifying the habits, knowledge, strategies or skills needed to gain success) ==> to the RECOMMENDED TOOL (the affiliate product that teaches them “HOW TO” master the skills to succeed)

And the best affiliate programs spend thousands of hours and dollars to help you guide your audience (market to your audience) down this path to close the sale.

These features below will help you identify the affiliate programs in the dating and relationship niche that do a solid job to help you convert visitors into customers.

10 Features of the Best Affiliate Programs in the Dating and Relationship Niche

1. High-Quality Sales Page

Nothing converts an affiliate sale better than a high-quality sales page.

Typically, the best affiliate programs in the relationship niche, spend lots of time and money to create this.

The page must convince the visitor who you send to it that the solution the product offers will end their misery and get them the reward feelings they seek.

Here are the top features and traits of the sales pages from the best affiliate programs I’ve promoted.

Top Features and Traits of High-Quality Affiliate Program Sales Pages

  • Benefit-focused headline
  • Actionable Sub-Headline
  • Emotion-laden sales video with images and graphics that match the narrator’s story and lesson
  • Text with visually appealing layout (each section has a different colored background to make them stand out one from the other)
  • Identifies the visitor’s frustrations with lack of success
  • Points out what they must do to get success (but without showing them how)
  • Over delivers the value of the complete package of goods including bonuses (makes the price look small)
  • Creates a sense of urgency (cost of your visitor not taking action right now)
  • Creates excitement that the solution is just minutes away

The sales video becomes even more important to convert your affiliate sale if your visitor does not know of the product.

Let’s face it, many of the relationship and dating coaches out there are relatively unknown.

They just simply not well-known celebrities to the average person.

You must help them identify the problem they have, briefly explain the solution without telling them how to do it and then hand them off to the sales page which shows them the solution.

  • Popular Behind-the-Scenes Tours in the US
  • 10 Famous Underground Caves in the World for Adventurous Couples
  • 10 Top Destinations for Shark Encounters in the World
  • 10 Romantic Spa Resorts in the US for Romantic Getaways

2. 50% Commission Rate (or Higher)

For digital products in the relationship niche only seek front-end products (the main product, the first one they’d buy before any upsells) with at least a 50% commission rate.

Some products I promote offer 75%.

And some new relationship products even offer 100%.

3. Upselling, Cross-Selling of Other Products

Some of the best affiliate programs in the relationship niche offer upsells.

I get an upsell in about one in every 5 of the affiliate programs that offer upsells.

With DigitialRomance.com and BeIrresistible.com affiliate relationship programs, this amount to one or two upsells, giving me a total commission of $60-90 for one customer.

How do you know if an affiliate program offers upsells in their funnel system?

Two Ways Best Affiliate Programs in Relationship Niche Offer Upsells:

1) It should tell you in their affiliate dashboard

2) Or ask the affiliate manager (person in charge of the affiliate program) via email

And many of the affiliate programs I promote sell more than one product.

So, that means sometimes a visitor clicks through my links and buys a different product than the one I recommended.

This could also occur from a visitor signing up for the product creator’s newsletter too and purchasing from one of the emails sent them.

4. Affiliate Manager

Not all the best relationship affiliate programs have affiliate managers but many do.

They will make life easier for you.

I actually am messaging one right now via Skype as I do this post.

They can get you free access to the products to dissect and review them.

They could even offer you free bonuses to give away.

And affiliate managers become especially important when you notice a discrepancy in your affiliate commissions. (Sometimes there’s a computer glitch and you don’t get the commission).

The presence of an affiliate manager generally shows that the creator and/or distributor of the product takes an active role in marketing the product.

5. Top-Notch Affiliate Dashboard with Tools and Product Images

A few of the best affiliate programs I’ve found provide me with marketing data to help me convert sales.

What do they provide their affiliates?

Free High-Quality Tools and Content (Examples)

  • High-converting keywords
  • Demographics that tend to buy their products
  • Marketing demographics for targeting audience in ad creation
  • Email swipes (copy-and-paste emails to send to your email subscribers)
  • Quality product images
  • A private affiliate Facebook Group to ask questions
  • Copy-and-paste text ads
  • Copy-and-paste articles (although I would re-word them for SEO purposes)
  • Power and trigger words list (attention-grabbing words related to the product)
  • Sample headlines and phrases to grab attention

Again, when you see that an affiliate program in the relationship niche takes the program seriously then you can expect sales.

Typically, the best affiliate programs also spend thousands, if not millions of dollars running ads to know what combination of headlines, text, and images.

Their marketing team figures out what converts the coldest of traffic (visitors who don’t know the product and haven’t been warmed up to purchase).

6. Free Review Copy or Free Access to Site

As mentioned before, the best affiliate programs in the relationship niche I’ve come across, give you free access to the product.

Just email the affiliate manager or support team.

7. Free Customizable PDF Downloads with Your Affiliate Links

I decided to put this one under its own “bullet point” because it sets an affiliate program apart from the rest.

Not many I’ve seen do it.

It’s an affiliate tool but a rarity to find and a strong indication of a high-quality affiliate program.

These are downloads that you can download and then giveaway as lead magnets or offer as bonuses for an affiliate purchase.

Just make sure you read the rules on what you are allowed to do with them.

It makes it easier to sign up subscribers and you don’t have to do the work to create them.

On top of that, if you don’t find that amazing enough, when you download them you can place your affiliate links in them.

So, when your subscribers read them and click on the links inside the PDFs you can make sales soon after they opt-in to your newsletter.

8. Product Creator Active in Own Community

If the landing page is strong and the product creator is a dating and relationship coach plus takes an active role in branding themselves.

Dating Coach Evan Marc Katz illustrates an example of that.

He has built an enormous email list, maintains a blog with hundreds of blog posts, takes an active role in his social media and has created more than 150 YouTube videos.

Many single women who search the internet for relationship tips know Evan.

And thus, increase your conversions.

For many years. I could depend on getting an 8% conversion rate on cold traffic just from my product review of Why He Disappeared.

That’s high.

But even after Evan has dedicated more time and money this past year to personal one-on-one coaching, and less on marketing his affiliate program I’m still doing 4%.

Which is still high.

9. Long Cookie Duration

The longer the better, typically they last 30 days.

This means that if your visitor does not purchase right away but within 30 days you still get credit.

So, even if they click another relationship blogger’s affiliate links after and purchase, you still get credit.

Evan’s cookie duration is an unbelievable 365 days.

From one customer alone I made 4 sales which amounted to nearly $500 in commission because she kept buying all of Evan’s other products over the 365-day window.

10. Quality High Converting Newsletter

The previously mentioned cookie window proves useful when the affiliate program runs a high-converting email newsletter.

I’d recommend signing up for the affiliate program’s newsletters to see how what kinds of emails they send and how they promote their products.

Summary of the Best Affiliate Programs in the Relationship Niche

The relationship niche has quite a few affiliate programs you could promote.

But choose carefully.

Because you risk wasting valuable time creating content.

Don’t burn yourself out and demotivate yourself by losing precious energy on the wrong affiliate programs.

That’s why you should only promote relationships and dating products.

And the list of the best affiliate program features from this blog post will help guide you.

How to Offer Bonuses to Make Affiliate Sales in Relationship Niche

How to Offer Bonuses to Make Affiliate Sales in Relationship Niche

Sometimes your visitors want to buy, but they hesitate and leave. To help solve this challenge offer bonuses.

This gives them a more enticing reason to buy dating or relationship affiliate products through you.

Think about it.

Have you ever hesitated to buy a product somewhere, then ended up getting it somewhere else because they gave you an irresistible offer?

Or perhaps you just didn’t feel ready to “pull the trigger”.

So, you waited and bought it later at a different store then the first store you saw it.

This regularly happens to affiliate marketers like you and me.

That’s exactly why you want to offer bonuses to your visitors and email subscribers.

But I know what you’re thinking?

“How do I offer bonuses? What can I give away?”

We will cover that in this post.

And a few strategies to help you separate paying customers from people who only want free information.

Offer Bonuses to Make Affiliate Sales

What can you offer?

Should you purchase bonuses to give away?

You could and here are some ideas.

Paid for Bonuses

  • Digital Amazon gift cards
  • Other gift cards
  • Discount coupon codes (if the affiliate program offers them)
  • Even cash back rebates (if the affiliate program allows it) to make more affiliate sales…

…but this could get expensive.

AND if the customer gets a refund for the sale of the affiliate product then you would lose your commission AND the money invested in the bonus.

That’s one reason that I suggest that you create your own bonuses.

Plus your bonuses will match your brand.

And your brand comprises of different components:

  • Your style of offering advice (direct and to-the-point, delicate, supportive)
  • Teaching style (examples, analogies, stories)
  • Specific phrases you use
  • Page Formatting (lists, headline styles, call-out boxes, images, graphics, fonts)
  • Media Formats (Videos, PDF downloads, MP3s, Podcasts, Emails)
  • Page Formatting (lists, headline styles, call-out boxes, images, graphics, fonts)

Anyone willing to purchase an affiliate product through your site trusts you.

They like you and buy into your style.

Therefore, they know what to expect with your bonuses and trust that they’ll satisfy their needs.

As far as what bonuses you could create check out this next list.

More Ideas to Offer Bonuses: Create Your Own

Bonus eBook for Purchase of Affiliate Products
Here is an eBook I only offer as either a Bonus for Purchase of Affiliate Products or for sale on my Relationship Blog.
  • Re-purpose existing posts (save a post as a PDF)
  • Make videos of existing posts or lead magnets
  • Videos of you teaching a lesson or examining specific parts of your PDFs or blog posts
  • Q and A Sessions
  • Interviews of other dating or relationship bloggers or coaches who specialize in an area that you don’t
  • Package lead magnets (a combination of videos, PDFs, survey results, interactive quizzes, MP3s, slide shows, etc.)

All of these are simple ideas that you certainly could handle.

Think of it this way.

Imagine lead magnets that you could make to get visitors to subscribe to your newsletter.

So, instead of designating them for lead magnets, set them aside for bonuses to offer in exchange for affiliate purchases.

Designating them just for bonuses makes them exclusive.

I’d recommend that you create a package of bonuses to make it more enticing to purchase the affiliate products through you.

Some of these will be shorter and not go into as much details.

But at least ONE of your bonuses should thoroughly explain how to achieve something in dating or relationships; show multiple examples, scenarios or case studies or both.

(I won’t cover how to go deeper into topics, but you can click here to see how I do it on another blog post of mine X).

The more that you stick around in the blogging world and take courses to advance your experience level you naturally find more ideas and get more creative.

Watch this video below of a sample affiliate bonus package page from the dating and relationship niche I have for my blog InfidelityFirstAidKit.com

Next let’s look at how we can create these bonuses.

Re-purpose Existing Posts into eBooks

Offer Bonuses
One of my epic long posts turned into an eBook offered as a bonus for the purchase of affiliate products.

This is super simple.

Copy and paste the blog post into your favorite word processor and then save as a PDF.

Make sure you edit after you paste to make it look right.

Microsoft word let’s you create tables of content with internal links to jump to specific sections of the eBook.

You should make a cover with an image.

Only choose high-quality with royalty free images.

I get free ones from Pexels.com, Picabay.com, LibreStock.com and even Canva.com

However, the one problem you run into is that many other relationship bloggers use the same images.

But I want at least some of my images to stand out and get the attention of my potential subscribers and customers.

Therefore, I pay for a subscription to download unique images that not everyone else has access to.

You can pay for images at many good sites such as:

  • Istock Photo
  • Shutter Stock
  • Getty Images
  • Deposit Photos

But these cost more than I want to spend.

That’s why I currently get my pics from Storyblocks.com.

(This is NOT an affiliate link, and neither are the rest of the stock photo links).

I pay $150 per year and have access to over 10,000 images.

You can get upgrade to higher subscription level to access thousands of audios and videos too.

For now, I’m good with just images.

Make Videos of Existing Posts or Lead Magnets to Offer Bonuses

Offer Bonuses like Video/Slide Shows of your eBooks
A Video of One of My eBooks Created on Canva.com and Screencast-O-Matic.com

Most people find in more compelling to learn in different ways.

Therefore, it makes sense to offer your bonuses in a variety of formats.

To make this simple and efficient choose PDFs or posts that you already created and turn them into videos.

Specifically, a combination of slide shows with audio of you explaining the key points.

[Video + Visual + Text] = more engaging content

I have created slide-show videos like these with PowerPoint and then recorded them right within the program.

PowerPoint gives you many in-slide animation and slide-to-slide transition options.

However, it requires many steps and several minutes to upload it to YouTube.

For now, I prefer to use Canva.com to create my slides because it’s easier than PowerPoint, albeit with less animation features than PowerPoint.

Then I create my videos with Screencast O-Matic because it’s the most affordable option to screen record, I’ve found.

Plus, you could upgrade your membership to self-host your videos so that you don’t need to upload to YouTube.

But for now, I upload to YouTube and save them as unlisted videos so that the only people who have the link to them can watch them.

Q and A Sessions

(could be webinars, PDFs, videos or a combination)

Everyone who arrives at your blog looks for answers to questions regarding relationship topics.

Why not turn them into Q and A sessions?

One of the affiliate programs I promote offers these in webinars.

That’d really only work if you have a sizable newsletter subscriber list or build a funnel with advertising.

Nevertheless, you could still simply create PDFs or slide-show videos or both.

I create member pages where my subscribers (or visitors) can access multiple formats.

With member access pages you can monitor analytics more thoroughly than just emailing your bonuses.

More on that in a moment (inter link to this section).

Interviews of Other Dating or Relationship Bloggers or Coaches

Another creative, yet simple idea for bonuses are video conference interviews with dating coaches or other relationship bloggers.

They might specialize in specific area of relationships and have more expertise than you (online dating profiles, meeting people IRL, texting, getting over a break up, etc.)

Ideally, you’d interview someone from one of your affiliate programs. Or create one with them using basic, affordable affiliate program softward such as Samcart or Sendowl.

At the minimum you could barter: give them backlinks to their website or even pay them for their time.

To conduct the video conference interview use Google Hangouts, Skype or Zoom.us. With all of these you could do this for free.

I admit that I have only done these for guest posts, but they certainly could work for bonuses.

Surveys or Polls

Offer Bonuses Based on Responses to Polls
Polls present a valid way to gauge what type of content your visitors want to read.
Create and Offer Bonuses Based on Blog Visitor Feedback

If you get enough traffic to your site you could embed polls and then record their replies on a PDF. (I use the free plugin Crowdsignal- formally Poll Daddy).

Without enough traffic you won’t get sufficient enough participation.

You’d want at least several hundreds, preferably in the thousands per poll to get reliable data.

As an alternative to polls you could do surveys with multiple questions.

Some bloggers or businesses use Survey Monkey for this.

Which makes sense if you want to send the survey to a large audience.

However, if you get decent traffic to your blog you could create free surveys with Google Forms.

Over time, you could get a large amount of responses by sending visitors or subscribers to it.

Interactive Exercise

Another option to offer bonuses from Google Forms that I like are quizzes or interactive exercises.

One of the affiliate programs I promote did this so I gave it a shot.

You can give feedback or lead them down a customized path of questions based on their replies or even grade them via the quiz format.

Bonus Member Pages

I saved the best for last.

(The video towards the top of this page is another example of a member page.)

If you want to tip the scales in your favor and convince someone to purchase affiliate products through you and not someone else then offer bonuses with a package of bonuses.

House everything on a member access page.

Send your customers the page link after you get proof of purchase (more on that in a moment).

Password protect your pages or at least set the pages up to block search engines from finding them.

Consider using a member site plugin after you begin to see regular conversions such as:

I’ve heard Teachable.com works well for some bloggers, but you will pay a portion of your earnings to Teachable.

However, it can get expensive and you don’t need them.

For now, just create pages within your own blog.

I prefer to make the design of the pages more visually appealing by using the editor plugin Elementor. (I use the free version).

You can choose from many different editor plugins or perhaps even your WordPress theme includes one.

Condition your audience to expect multiple pieces of content from initial contact (upon opting-in).

Offer packages of free gifts in exchange for signing up for your newsletter.

Your bonus packages, however, must exceed your opt-in packages in quantity and value.

Make your bonuses more in-depth and cover multiple angles of relationship topics.

Now, I’m sure you’re wondering, how do you promote your bonuses.

I’ve used a couple ways, both work.

Ways to Promote Your Bonuses

Instructions for Bonus Offer on one of my Landing Pages. You can also promote the offer solely via email.

For existing newsletter subscribers, you could detail the directions and rules in an email.

Make sure that you state them clearly but also simply to remove ambiguity.

The most important rules are:

1. They must click your links in the email.

2. They must show proof of purchase with an order number. (Find this in your affiliate dashboard.

3. You’ll deliver their bonuses within 24 hours of them providing proof of purchase and it matches up with the order number in your affiliate dashboard.

You could promote your bonuses with your subscribers via campaign launches.

Here you’d send several emails leading up to a launch day.

Or you could insert your bonus promotions in your on-going automated emails (say, every 10-15, depending on how often you email your list- do not bombard them).

One downside I’ve run into with promoting the bonuses through email is that your email service provider might flag your account for placing too many affiliate links in the email that you blast out to your subscribers.

That’s just one reason I prefer to create a landing page for my bonus promotions.

The Bonus Promotion Page

(This is just an image- not a video.)

Send Subscribers and Visitors to a Bonus Offer Landing Page Like This

I set up these promotion landing pages once and point links in emails to it as well as straight from blog posts.

Anyone visiting the page can click my trackable affiliate links that go straight to the affiliate programs sales page.

Landing pages make the information much more visually appealing, easier to read and you can insert videos.

With video you can record yourself guiding them through the instructions.

I screen record my landing pages and guide them step-by-step through the instructions.

A few additional advantages to a promotion landing page are the ability to run analytics and you can easily duplicate them for multiple bonus offers.

Landing Page Creator

I don’t recommend that you make these pages on your blog because there are too many distractions on them.

Unless your theme allows you eliminate both headers and side bars.

I don’t know of a theme that eliminates headers, though.

It’s just easier to use a landing page creator like Leadpages.net.

That’s who I’ve used for years plus I create all my subscriber opt-in pages and pop ups with them.

How to Automate Your Bonus Promotion Page

An advantage that choosing the bonus promotion route over putting all the details in email gives you is automation.

With Leadpages I set up an information collection page where my subscriber or visitor can return to and insert their first name, email address and product order number.

I receive an email when someone fills it out.

The best part is that this data automatically gets added to my buyers list (which identifies and separates paying customers from everyone else). So, later I can send one email to the list.

After they fill in their information, I redirect them to a confirmation thank you page so that they see I got it.

Plus, I remind them that I must first confirm the sale and will get back to them within 24 hours.

To summarize, you’ll need three pages to set up the automation:

1. Bonus Promotion Page

To announce your bonus offer and the rules.

2. Data Collection Page

To gather their first name, email address and product order number.

3. Thank You Confirmation Page

To confirm you got their information and to remind them that you must confirm the purchase and then get back to them.

(transition into the best people to market to who are more likely to take you up on your offer)

Offering bonuses incentivizes your visitors and subscribers to purchase affiliate products through you, thus increasing your affiliate sales conversion rates.

But if you want to increase them even more than you can take an additional step.

Identify buyers.

How can you do that?

Three ways that I know of.

Buyers List and Tripwires: Separate Buyers from "Window Shoppers"

People who pay for one item, likely will buy more items later.

You can reel visitors onto your newsletter list with free lead magnets, but most will not pay for anything.

1. Buyers List

So, the first way to identify paying customers is to create a separate list for anyone who takes you up on your bonus offers.

Do this is in your email service provider.

2. Tripwires

The second way is to offer quality, but low-priced pieces of content that your subscribers or visitors cannot resist.

(What is Tripwire marketing?)

After they purchase you can set up a simple sales funnel that triggers them to receive a short series of emails with the last email presenting your bonus offer in exchange for an affiliate product purchase.

You could even offer it for a limited time to stress urgency by placing a timer on the bonus promotion page.

(Leadpages gives you this feature).

The strategy behind it is you identify a problem in the first few emails (traditionally 3-5) with the promise of the solution in the last email.

The solution itself is a strategy how to accomplish something in relationships.

Here are some examples…

Solution Examples

  • How to optimize dating profiles to increase contact from attractive, serious relationship minded-daters
  • How to write flirty texts that increases their irresistibility and gets responses
  • How to decrease a man’s commitment anxiety and feel emotionally connected to a woman

The affiliate products explain how to accomplish these goals.

And thus, of course, you recommend them in the final email.

Since, they’ve already proven to be buyers many will likely take you up on your offer.

Often times they will even purchase the upsells that the affiliate programs offer.

These low-priced products at the beginning of a sales funnel are called tripwires.

What You’ll Need to Offer Tripwires

You’ll need a safe online shopping cart to take credit card payments (I currently use Sendowl) and a payment gateway to accept payments and deliver the money to you via Paypal or straight to your bank account (I use Stripe).

Of course, you could use Paypal as your shopping cart, but this limits who can buy your trip wires, preferably you’d want to offer Paypal and credit cards.

That’s why I chose Sendowl.

It’s simple to use and affordable.

Although I may go back to upgrading my Leadpages subscription in order to create shopping carts right from my landing pages and integrate them with Stripe.

Honestly, this converts better because the visitor never leaves the page. The shopping cart appears right on the page instead of being redirected off to a separate page.

It’s just pricier than using Sendowl.

Plus, Sendowl offers more features that I may use in the future.

Stripe is free to set up for your payment gateway, but they do take small percentage per sale.

3. Sell Your Own Products

The third way I know of to identify buyers is to sell your own products.

You’d need the same tools (online shopping cart, payment gateway) to sell your own products.

These simply could be the same products as your bonuses.

Then that way your visitors and subscribers would have two options to get your content:

1) Paying for them

2) Earning them as bonuses

Then, of course, you’d place them on your buyers lists and present more bonus offers to them in the future.

Sell your products for less than the price of the affiliate products you recommend to give them a legitimate alternative to buy them.

People like choices and they might now even like the affiliate products you recommend but might be willing to pay for yours.

Summary

Give your subscribers a reason to purchase through you.

Offer them bonuses, preferably several.

Your subscribers are more likely to take you up on your bonus offer since they trust you and like your brand of advice.

Choose a system that you feel most comfortable with.

You might feel that promoting and delivering bonuses via email suits your experience level better.

Of if you’ve already gained experience creating landing pages then it makes sense to go that route.

Or, better yet, try both.

Again, people like options.

Some people will feel weary about interacting with your information collection landing page.

But they find the email method more trustworthy and less overwhelming.
